Arawn Quest The Zen Chronicles Book One Edward Larel 9781456369781 Books Reviews

Arawn's Quest is a classic fantasy formula told in a very enjoyable way. Arawn is on a quest to get the gems of power and bring his people back to where they belong after being banished for a very long time. Along the way he meets the people who eventually will become his friends and traveling companions a mysterious and powerful old man, a youth training to be a wizard, an ex pit fighter, a priest, and an elven ranger. The interactions that the characters share make the story a very good read and the world that is built here is described very well.

The end of the book was done perfectly to wrap up a part of the story, but still pave the way for one or more sequels. I hope we will see the next installment pretty quickly.
Excellent read. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
I totally got into this story, kept flipping thru the pages, impatient to see what was going to happen next. The story is very well written. The mix of characters make it easy for you to not get bored in the story. The action thruout the story keeps you reading to see what is going to happen or to see who...or what.....is going to show up next. I have yet to buy the next in the series, but I look forward to getting it to see what continues to happen in this stupendous story. With it being free, it is definitely worth you downloading and reading.
Okay, maybe it's because I'm partial to fantasy book (We would all like to create our own world at some point) but Edward Larel's Arwan's Quest is a good paced, exciting page turner.

Set in the world of Pnumandesi, a lone xendauni named Arwan, is on a quest from him ancestral home to find a way to return it and his people from the prison the Elementals placed them in centuries before. Gathering a motley crew of friends to help in his quest, Arwan begins learning the intricate balance friendships teeter on and who he can trust with his secrets.

An excellent opener to the series, Arwan's Quest appeals to readers of all ages from the tiniest D&D player to the grizzled veteran of fantasy.
